The creative force behind Green Pear, Kari designs the company products and hand-picks the shop and gallery stock. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a BFA in Art History. After nearly ten years in retail management for boutique store chains including Mary Engelbreit and April Cornell, Kari returned to her artful roots by serving as craft editor for Memory Makers magazine for three years (2003-2005). Hundreds of pieces of her artwork have been published, as well as dozens of articles, including the reader-acclaimed “Designer’s Workbook” and "True Colors" columns in Memory Makers magazine. She has taught paper crafting, rubber stamping and scrapbooking classes across the country. She now works as a freelance artist and writer in addition to running Green Pear Studio. Her first book, The Scrapbook Designer’s Workbook, debuted in January 2007.
Tom provides the invaluable technical and practical support that keeps Green Pear ticking. A software developer for Landmark Graphics by day, Tom offers tireless behind-the-scenes expertise to the Green Pear enterprise. A native of Somerset, England, Tom graduated from The Victoria University of Manchester, England, with an honors degree in Physics. His computer skills are wide-spread and largely self-taught, and he is pretty good with a hackie-sack too! In addition to being a World of Warcraft addict, Tom enjoys guitar and outdoor adventures in his free time.
