Frequently Asked Questions

What is your return policy?

Green Pear offers a 100% quality guarantee on its product. If you are not satisfied for any reason, please contact us at customerservice@greenpear.com within 30 days of your purchase.

How do you calculate the shipping costs?

The shopping cart adds up the individual weight of each item you have ordered and then references that total weight with your zip code. A shipping cost is calculated using this information based on a zone chart provided by the U.S. Postal Service. Each purchase starts with the base price for Priority Mail and then increases the shipping fee as necessary, based on total weight. We charge you only the true shipping costs, and do not charge a handling fee.

What kind of payments do you take? Can I write a check?

We accept all major credit cards and direct debit through PayPal. PayPal provides a secure and reputable payment processing system that is easy to use. In addition to credit cards, you can create a PayPal account that is directly linked to your checking account, thus working like an electronic check.
We cannot accept checks for internet purchases. However, we will accept checks, with proper identification, at conventions.

How can I get a coupon?

Join the Green Pear mailing list to receive news of promotions and get coupons throughout the year. In addition to the general promotions announced on the web site, mailing list members will receive exclusive offers and members' only goodies. Click here to sign up for the mailing list.

Do you have a retail store?

Green Pear does not have a brick-and-mortar location. Our products are sold directly and exclusively from our web site. However, we may have a booth at conventions and shows from time to time. Check the calendar for more information, and watch our home page and newsletter for updates. Save yourself shipping costs and enjoy show specials! We would love to meet you and show you our product in person, so come by and say hello!

Can you wash the album covers?

Album covers can be easily removed to be cleaned. Covers should be dry cleaned only or spot cleaned as needed.

I have heard that vinyl can damage my scrapbook pages. Are your albums archival and safe for my photos?

Absolutely! We designed our albums to be constructed out of the most durable and safe plastic on the market. Many vinyl products can deteriorate paper and photographs, so we did our research and chose polypropylene. This plastic is inert, and is used by libraries and historians for preservation materials relating to photographs. Click here for more information about the archival characteristics of plastics.

What kind of page protectors should I use with your albums?

Green Pear albums are designed to work with standard issue page protectors from any manufacturer. Look for protectors made specifically for scrapbook or photo storage to insure that they are archival quality. Avoid any protectors containing PVC, as this type of plastic can cause deterioration in photos and paper. Acceptable materials are polyethylene and polypropylene, or a combination of both. Click here for more information about the archival characteristics of plastics.

I want an album in a certain theme or color, but I don't see what I want on your web site. Can you make one for me?

We are happy to discuss custom album covers with you and to hear your suggestions for future albums. For more information about custom order albums, contact us at customerservice@greenpear.com.

I use post-bound or strap hinge albums. Can you make an album like that for me?

We believe strongly in the superior benefits of binder albums, and do not have plans at this time to expand our line to include other album formats. We think that once you use a binder system combined with page protectors, you will not want to use any other kind again. If you have an existing album that you would like a cover made to fit, please contact us to discuss a custom order at customerservice@greenpear.com.

Why are your albums limited editions?

Green Pear albums are hand-made, not mass produced. Accordingly, we hand-pick the fabric and do not buy it in bulk. Fabric availability can be a factor for any textile product, so we choose to use it as an asset to keep our line new and unique. For each design, we make a limited quantity, allowing us to add fresh designs on a regular basis and to offer a more personal product. Each album you purchase from Green Pear is a special piece that you will not see over and over again.

Does Green Pear sell wholesale?

At this time, Green Pear does not accept wholesale orders. We are able to keep the albums hand-made and limited edition by selling directly to our customers.
